Carla Blank’s most recent books are the anthology “Bigotry on Broadway,” co-edited with Ishmael Reed, and “Storming the Old Boys’ Citadel: Two Pioneer Women Architects of Nineteenth Century North America,” co-authored with Tania Martin. She directed the 2021 New York City production of Ishmael Reed’s play, “The Slave Who Loved Caviar,” and is preparing to direct Reed’s newest play, “The Conductor,” at New York’s Theater for the New City, premiering March 9 and closing March 26, 2023.
