Jennifer Vansteenkiste – Mark Schuller

Jennifer Vansteenkiste is a PhD Candidate studying at the University of Guelph. She has been researching and evaluating projects in Haiti for the past 10 years. Her work focuses on Haiti’s development industry, food security, gender, and community based organizations. Mark Schuller is Associate Professor of Anthropology and NGO Leadership and Development at Northern Illinois University and affiliate at the Faculté d’Ethnologie, l’Université d’État d’Haïti. He is the author or co-editor of six books, including forthcoming Humanitarian Aftershocks in Haiti. Schuller is co-director / co-producer of documentary Poto Mitan: Haitian Women, Pillars of the Global Economy (2009), and active in several solidarity efforts.
