Judy Gumbo

Judy Gumbo is one of the few female members of the original Yippie core group. Judy is the widow of Yippie founder Stew Albert and of David Dobkin, a founder of Berkeley Cohousing where Judy now lives.  Judy recently married Arthur Eckstein, author of Bad Moon Rising – How the Weather Underground Beat the FBI and Lost the Revolution. Judy likes to joke that she gives the FBI credit for bringing her and Art together. Her  memoir Yippie Girl was published by Three Rooms Press in May, 2022. Find Judy on Facebook under Judy Gumbo AlbertYippie Girl and on her website www.yippiegirl.com.
