There is a sordid history behind James Webb’s election to the Senate representing Virginia that brings hope for spotlighting the insane Bush Family rule of brutality, destruction and death.
Remember how Bush the Butcher duped the American people in Gulf War I with “Saddam has missiles that can reach Kansas City” or we need a small force to protect our regional allies and thus “Desert Shield?”
During this hype and b.s., James Webb, the Reagan administration’s Secretary of the Navy, stood before the TV news cameras and warned that the Soviet Union was countering with “Operation Cutting Edge.” In Operation Cutting Edge, Webb stated that the Soviets were wiring the oil fields with explosives and if the United States went beyond removing Iraq from Kuwait by threat, diplomacy or military force and actually invaded Iraq, the Soviets would blow up the oil fields. The ensuing inferno would stop any advancing army. Hence the operational name “Cutting Edge.”
Between the Kuwait border and Iraq were known to be pitiful Kurdish conscripts who had been starving on scraps for weeks with little weaponry or ammunition. The Butcher had bulldozer blades welded onto tanks and buried them alive.
Twelve miles into Iraqi territory rolls the American army. The fields are torched and a generation’s worth of oil is turned into hellfire.
Soon thereafter, The Butcher would truly earn his “historical honorarium” when the U.S. dropped incendiary devices on downtown Panama City as a diversion to snatch one former CIA asset, Manuel Noriega. Five thousand innocent Panamanians were fried for the “diversion” while sleeping.
The Senator-elect knows these facts and more.
The son, by word and deed is “Bush the Barbarian,” earning his sobriquet by the sheer number of dead women and children, the cultural damage and by politically corrupting religion. As John McCain said in 2002: “Bush’s knowledge of foreign policy is from the International House of Pancakes.”
James Webb knows his son fights in the Iraq horror show while none of the chicken hawk, cheerleader’s children serve. James Webb knows the chicken hawk, cheerleaders never went into the military; but gain financial fortune by scorning and demeaning those who did. Vietnam vet and Pennsylvania Representative Jack Murtha is labeled a “defeatist and appeaser.” Nuclear submarine commander Jimmy Carter is called a quisling and a “cut and run coward.” Two terms of duty in Vietnam for John Kerry means that cowards like Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity and Michael Savage can get rich on promulgating the Swift Boat lies.
Senator-elect Webb knows this war was pre-ordained and there were no WMDs or missiles that can hit Kansas City. He knows it’s a back door draft with shoddy equipment and depleted uranium.
Senator-elect Webb carries the knowledge of how truly uncaring and stupid this gang of political scum is. The Barbarian likes outsourcing torture to secret prisons in foreign countries so that every day “big bucks war parasites” and their arrogant media spin-whores and gate keepers get richer and richer while patriotic National Guards personnel come home after a year’s duty to credit card bills their families can’t pay.
