God’s Curse

His holy rolling thundering
Pat Pobertson
proclaimed Sharon got a super stroke
cause he pulled out of Gaza
disobeying a direct order
from God
to build kosher retaurants everywhere
and welcome the Messiah with a knish

I’m trying to figure out
why I have liver cancer
and I recall some harsh poems
about Preacher Man Roberstson
I may have authored here,
I’m not intimidated
I can take the heat
but you got to admit
when it comes to running wild with words
some might experience a chilling effect.

A Lamb

Andrew Veal used to work in a Georgia computer center
but he’s dead now
he shot and killed himself at Ground Zero
protesting Bush’s victory,
he was our pain.

TV Dallas and JR are
coming back
along with Crawford Bush
but not LBJ and his eyes of Texas
Great Society,
these days only God is allowed to be great
and as usual he’s very late
way too tardy for Andrew Veal.

Art Form

There is something compelling
in the way
terrorist sculptors mangle flesh and matter
whatever the required laws of physics
every work of dramatic death
has its own vision of limitless pain.

Terrorists transcend their cause
you will not see limited manifestos
in twisted columns, pipes and faces without necks,
whatever the belief
terrorists on all sides
follow a universal aesthetic,
visionaries uniting the world
in despair.

One Woman?

Mayday For Marriage
fell far short of a million angels
marching for one man one woman
master race matrimony.
But thousands did hit the streets
crediting Kerry with courage he does not posses.
Claiming he’s for unchristian Gay marriage
and will proclaim Hillary
as Chief Justice of the Supremes

But the bible pounders
probably didn’t bother to read the book.
Biblical marriage is one man
and as many wives
as he can afford.
Abraham Isaac and Jacob
were quite wealthy
and hornier than Bill Clinton
at a Hot Springs church picnic.

Christian Caper

1
Pat Robertson put out a fatwa
on Hugo Chavez,
he wants the Venezuelan president bumped off
and
he’s isn’t relying on the power of prayer.

For how long
will Christians allow their faith
to be a breeding ground for murder?

Isn’t it time Tony Blair closed down
violence prone Churches
and
Bush bounced foreign born Christians
from Oklahoma City?

2

Pat’s now proclaiming
he didn’t want to kill the son of a bitch,
just wanted the bastard kidnapped,
like god fearing Gordon Liddy
planned to snatch up the Yippies
and
dump ’em in Mexico.

Couldn’t deposit Chavez in Mexico though,
cause they’d make some kind of hero
out of his sorry ass
better put Hugo
in the preacher’s
Club Guantanamo TV studio.

He’ll ask hard questions,
knowing how to get
all the right answers.

Effective Weapons?

A poem
explodes
against the Imperial Wall.
How much damage can it do?

Weapons of crafted
irony
can they blast a gaping hole
in cruelty and domination?
An open wound
of inflicted passion
on strutting liars.

The poems go out everywhere
in electrical waves
of too much information.
What happens
next
provides an answer.
