Listen2 Text Reader and Talker

Hello all. I have received e-mail from people wanting more information on
Listen2's features. This information is found at
http://207.34.83.39/wmhjones but here are some of the features. And keep in
mind that JTS Micro Consulting guarantees you will be satisfied with the
top rate voice quality or you will get your money back. If you have any
questions there is a FAQ at the site or you can always ask me. I will
answer all

The International version can read and speak up to 5 languages and they can
be switched dynamically. The English version speaks with a male or female
voice that can be switched dynamically. Reads Text files in several
different modes. It can display each sentence or line as it speaks it. Will
also read a list of text files sequentially, pausing between each one for
user input. On startup or shutdown it will automatically read any messages
or reminders that you inputted for the date. Messages can be inputted for
any future date.

Press the spacebar and LISTEN2 will either read the startup message if
there is one, or read randomly selected jokes or phrases from a text file
you can create. Runs in the background to automatically read any text
copied to the Clipboard from another application. Launch LISTEN2 from
another application with a file name or a string of text to read on the
command line.
Launch LISTEN2 using drag and drop from the File Manager (up to 10 files).
Hear date and time by pressing a key. Fully trainable if it doesn't say a
word correctly. Type text and immediately hear it spoken. For voice
challenged users a text file of phrases can be created and when you type
the first few characters into LISTEN2, it will find and speak the phrase.
You can insert phonetics or synthesizer commands into a text file, so you
can control LISTEN2's voice dynamically.
You can insert sound bytes by inserting special text in a text file.
LISTEN2 will play a sound file at that point in the read. With the English
version you can insert font flags in a text file telling
LISTEN2 to switch between male and female voices and/or to change the pitch
of the voice. With the International version you can insert special flags
that tell the program to switch from one language to another. LISTEN2's
speech output can be sent to a wave sound file instead of spoken verbally.
LISTEN2's speech synthesizer can be fully adjusted by the user. Create a
text file with
keywords followed by text. Using a special read mode LISTEN2 will prompt
for a keyword(s), then find the text and speak it. You can create a program
that acts like a conversation.

I hope this answers your questions.
