Re: Word Perfect
The Caldera port of Word Perfect was licensed from Novell prior to the sale
of the Word Perfect/Perfect Office suite to Corel. If I recall correctly,
it uses libraries of the Motif window manager but it is available for other
Intel linuxes than Caldera Open Desktop, with all licenses and software
included with the product.
I would suggest checking with Corel, though. Corel does have a Word Perfect
for Intel System V Unix, and now also have the Perfect Office suite for Java,
which should run on Linux. Support is an issue, I suppose, but they might
accomodate a request for Linux platform support for disability access. I'd
think the hurdle would be the license manager. Caldera has the only
commercial-grade license manager for Linux packages that I'm aware of,
but Corel has ample experience with distribution of single user products,
so it's worth an inquiry.
