		     OGI Residual LPC Synthesizer
			     version  1.4
			    September 1998

	      now available in the Downloads section of

		   http://www.cse.ogi.edu/CSLU/tts

This package is a drop-in module for the Festival TTS system created
by CSTR at the University of Edinburgh.  This version of OGIresLPC has
been designed to work with Festival version 1.3.0, released August
1998.  It provides waveform synthesis with reasonable quality, and is
meant to serve as a simple baseline synthesizer in the CSLU Toolkit
and for other experiments.

New since version 1.3:
	* made it work with Festival 1.3.0
	* split Mexican Spanish into separate distribution
	* added OGIgerman
	* fixed some bugs, probably added some new ones

suggestions for improvements, or would like to be informed of future 
releases of the module.
