Festival-1.3.0 Speech System
Hi Blinuxers,
the Festival speech synthesis system Version 1.3.0 is
available at the Blinux FTP site.
>From the README:
The Festival Speech Synthesis System is a general multi-lingual
text to speech system for Unix platforms. It is written in C++, and
includes a Scheme-based scripting language. Included with Festival
are lexicons and voices that together form a whole text to speech
system.
...
You'll find it at the Blinux FTP archive under these directories:
ftp://leb.net/pub/blinux/festival/cstr.mirror/1.3.0/
There you'll find the original source packages as tar.gz archives.
ftp://leb.net/pub/blinux/festival/cstr.mirror/Linux-1.3.0/redhat/
holds the binary and sourc RPM packages.
ftp://leb.net/pub/blinux/festival/cstr.mirror/Linux-1.3.0/debian/
holds the debian packages.
Festival is also availble from its home site:
ftp://ftp.cstr.ed.ac.uk/pub/festival/1.3.0/
Replacing ftp:// with http:// will work too.
Enjoy!
hans
PS. Sorry for the delay but I was offline because of a minor
disk crash. (I like my backup tapes now even better:)
