LYNX MOVEMENT COMMANDS
- Down Arrow and TAB keys
- Move to the next hypertext link, or scroll down if there are no more
links on the currently displayed page.
- Up Arrow
- Move to the previous hypertext link, or scroll up if there are no links
above the currently chosen link and there are previous pages to scroll up
to.
- Right Arrow, Return, and Enter
- Select the link upon which the cursor is positioned.
- Left arrow
- Retreat from a link. Go back to the previous page.
- VI Keystrokes
- If 'VI Keys' are enabled from the Options menu or from the .lynxrc file, lowercase h, j,
k, and l will move left, down, up, and right, respectively.
- Emacs Keys
- If 'Emacs Keys' are enabled from the Options menu or via the .lynxrc file, control-b,
control-n, control-p, and control-f will move left, down, up, and right,
respectively.
- Num Lock
If the 'Num Lock' on your keyboard is turned on, Lynx will translate the
keypad numbers into movement commands. The translation is as
follows:
9 - page up
8 - up arrow
7 - moves to the top of a document
6 - right arrow
5 - nothing
4 - left arrow
3 - page down
2 - down arrow
1 - moves to the end of a document
