Dear Arshad
Can I suggest that you buy a copy of Oman Today, which is normally available
in most large supermarkets and bookshops. This little publication does list
many of the facilities available in Muscat.
Having said that, I don't recall that there were badminton courts for
commercial hire, but I'm pretty sure that several societies and clubs might
have organized badminton sessions. I would have thought there would be lots
of interest through the PDO social club, for instance.
A Google search reveals that the Indian School, Muscat, has two indoor and
two outdoor badminton courts, so perhaps there may be a social ladder in the

This page http://www.sportsladders.com/badminton/player.asp?ID=18889 shows
that someone called Kaleem Kaleem is an intermediate player in Muscat. You
can send him (presumably a him) a challenge e-mail by going to this website.
A teacher at the British School in Oman (named as Mrs Fear) supervises
badminton sessions for senior students of the school, so I would expect that
she would know about badminton in Muscat. Why not phone her?
