[Oman-L] Air photos and climate data

Hello,
I am a Geography Undergraduate at Oxford University, UK and am going to =
be studying the aeolianite outcrops (cemented dune sands) in and around =
Qurm for my dissertation and could do with some advice...
I would really like some air photography of the area and was wondering =
where, or how, I could get hold of such photos - any suggestions?
It would also be very useful to look at data records concerning wind =
speed and direction in the area. I understand that I may be able to get =
this from either the Directorate General of Civil Aviation and =
Meteorology (Department of Meteorology) or from the Ministry of Water =
Resources - does anyone know someone I could contact about this?
