"Ethnologue"
                LUWATI 5000 speakers. In a walled quarter of Mutrah, =
facing the old harbor, in Mascat and other cities. Indo-Iranian,Iranian, =
Unclassified. Speakers are said to have originated from Iran, migrated =
to Hyderabad and then to Oman. Speakers are sometimes called "Persian". =
Shi'a Muslim. Survey needed.
