Good day everybody,

sorry to enter a contribution to this topic so late, but I
was away.

I can highly recommend the Indian take-away restaurant,
about twohundred meters to the right (looking at the souq,
with the sea in your back) of the pedestrian crossing, at
one of the side entrances to the Muttrah souq. Extremely
cheap, and never caused me stomach problems.

If you then proceed up the alley to the left of the
restaurant, after about onehundred meters, comes a shop on
the right hand side of the alley, selling pottery, baskets
made from palm leaves, and assorted bits. It used to be run
by a very old man, and his son took over when he passed
away some tw years ago. Not to many tourists there, but
then not every tourist thinks of a shopping basket as a
souvenir...

Take care, Eberhard Brodhage
