Dear Dr. Koopmann:
I forgot to mention that the mefloquine gave me a very slight stomach
upset; as I recall it, this was nothing serious but made me a bit
uncomfortable for a day or so each time I took it. Oh, also, have a lot of
fun with the dreams you'll have. Mine, like those of other people I talked
to, were vivid and shall we say interesting..
We have read that malaria is not as prevalent as it once was, because of
the Omani efforts to eradicate it by spraying and so on. Reported
incidences were almost nil in recent years.
