Dear Dr. Koopmann:

When I visited Oman in January 1996, I was advised by my doctor and the
local Health Unit to take mefloquine HCL (250mg) once per week, starting
one week before entering Oman and ending four weeks after leaving Oman. I
would suggest that you check with your own health professionals. Oman was
definitely listed as a "malaria country".
