Weekend Edition Meltdown Memo to Come? The Rationale of Scorched Earth Policy in Economic WarfareBy STEPHEN MARTIN
Scorched earth policy in economic warfare is the ‘belief’ that financial burned down; ‘ideological arson’ on a co-ordinated scale. By way of example: Lehman Bros believed that they had jobs to offer; believed it was a bank, traded on the belief in ‘derivatives’ as generating profit rather than generating toxic, worthless distilled crap born of parallel to Ponzi scheme; the smart money long ago having moved out, involved if only ever in first place in the prime of such pump prior to dump, consequences seen as incorporated within policy as reflecting strategy. Trade ‘short’ in big enough volume, and can become as self fulfilling prophecy – the movement in volume taken as disbelief? Most of such belief perception; as running with the pack as lie can ‘stand’ apropos above quotation ? Proposition for your consideration: The Economy is 99 per cent belief, and such belief as ‘functional’ can be vaporised in nanoseconds; at least as quick as digits can be displayed on terminal as the stream of zeros and ones flowing through cyberspace reflecting the belief as to value or credit worthiness in transaction; such the convergence. Stripped to it’s core in the meltdown revealed, the ‘financial jungle’ a belief which can change ‘tiger’ to ‘antelope’ in the blink of eye, and rip of artery another such blink? Blink again and ‘was that an antelope?’ the question. Despite the posturing reflecting confidence in ‘liars poker’ game - if enough other tigers in the jungle see; what so seen as becomes? ‘Apperception’ all ‘powerful’ such degeneracy realised? To such interpretation of jungle; ‘State’ as Lion gathered from small percentage remaining? As ‘hope’ left in box? The rationale of Scorched Earth Policy deployed in Economic Warfare is that tangible assets remain as calculated absent of collateral damage; no need to rebuild, the equipment within not destroyed, human assets ‘intact’ - albeit dispossessed, ‘re-occupation’ as belief re-established as part of ‘under new management’, new ‘line of credit’ , ‘belief’ reborn as such can be relatively rapid? Such the lust as leads to ‘bridge too far’ in the reality as transcends illusion. Contrast with the ‘scorched earth’ of thermonuclear warfare, where destruction not just of belief, but of ‘tangible asset’. The free market view of the ‘Stateless’ - those who have loyalty to nought but greed and profit: is that people are no more than ‘profit centers’ to be exploited as efficiently and effectively as possible and practicable, everything quantifiable in the ROI - way of dollar and cent. Proposition: The closest ‘profit maximisation’ as concept came to realisation, where marginal costs equal marginal revenues, was under the concentration camp system of Nazi Germany - though for ideological reasons ‘forced labor’ was abandoned as the primary objective - much of the underlying calculation of minimising costs and maximising revenue standing as ‘valid’ pragmatically - to such abhorrent abrogation of moral responsibility and humanity? Destruction for it’s own sake, such the glee as degenerate even beyond such as lust for money subjugate? There was much effort by Nazis expended upon the costing of the concentration camp internee, down to required calorific input by way of ration, clothing provided, and recovery of costs, way of ‘liquidation’. The monstrous abrogation of humanity encompassed in the design of crematoria such context could yet have been worse - there could have been extension into the generation of electricity or as part of heating system as increasing revenue incorporated in design? ROI so considered. Bone and blood as fertiliser? Always money; the profit as born of excess. Always more to be ignored as denial; form of lie. Always; the ‘power’ as translation; the absence of aspiration. Obscenity seen as is; evil ‘thriving’ on the basis of being able to disguise itself, taking refuge behind good intention in the silver tongue of reptile as lowest form of input to psychophysical parallel as ‘epiphenomenon’ per ‘ontogeny recapitulating phylogeny’, courtesy humane contingent? How far the intention stated in contrast the reality before illusion revealed? As a ‘diamond’; ( bullet form as per quote above from ‘Apocalypse Now’) has many aspects of reflection to light upon which shines whence cut; another aspect of such reflection being upon monstrous calculation standing to such as claims possession of forehead; as can drag knuckle while walking under ‘grace abounding’. Talking the talk - and walking the walk - of ‘fortunate son’. Example. Cost benefit analysis sunk to significant level of degeneracy in the calculations pragmatic concerning the ‘Ford Pinto’; life having a value as per litigation loss assumed, will revealed. This the free market pathway as devoid of ‘State’ in the degradation of humanity- as incursion into ‘jungle’; risk assessed and costs calculated concerning burning child as ‘actuarial possibility’ in the mathematic; justice as prevailed then form of Grimshaw versus? It is so hard as to understand this meltdown. But when a diamond bullet strikes between eyes? Any ‘miscomprehension’; as so arising… Framed algebraic; form of syllogism perverse sentential or propositional calculus the ‘meltdown’ or ‘shakedown’ seen as ‘racket’: ‘You can have x share of y, or b share of z. x is greater than b, y is smaller than z. y rebuilt may may greater than z. The differential between a and b is ‘Power’. You can bring about y. ‘Scorched earth’ the game as racket, greed the vehicle; priming of pump the absence of regulation as lie constrained, the deployment of financial weapons of mass destruction as one big Ponzi scheme; all a big lie as of Henry L Madoff confession? Think of the ‘will’ - as in context of quote above by Kurtz - it takes to carry out such abhorrence. To destroy, under calculated, scheming deliberation, the lives of millions of people as no more than a ‘y’ brought about from a ‘z’, with share the primary consideration as echo of ‘mine, all mine!’ in the claim over subsequent weakness reduced to dollar and cent; name of ‘expropriation’. Money is not mere indulgence of pleasure idiosyncratic; in the ‘sense’ as can become power over others – as the obverse of a gift way as sacrifice is a curse way of expropriation, as ‘tin god’ realised is antonym of ‘Saint’. The ‘racket’ of warfare, economic or real, is such as draws the unwilling as sharing together. To: ‘Mine, all mine!’ the cry? Now: you may look upon Economic behaviour as ‘random’ to extent as sees ‘lone gunman’ –or you may see conspiracy in breakfast cereal packet; but such state as the world be in as surrounding ‘belief’ brought into close quarters and demanding ‘fixing bayonet’ concerning the fog of Economic Warfare? ‘War is a Racket’ as Smedley Butler said, whether it be Economic or Real. Also the ‘the Horror…..the horror…..’ As Walter E Kurtz said. First reality; then cinema? In the blurring is the belief. You see, I hope such interpretation is wrong concerning the extent of scheming as wilful; the clarity of ‘vision’ as result as extensive ‘concentration camp’ as would be concerning financial belief ‘re born’. Hope that this disaster befallen us as ‘meltdown’ born of the result of a few ‘lone gunmen’ concerning the assassination of belief, such as Mr. Madoff epitomises. That the greed was just idiosyncratic rather than systemic, and disaster the result of such personal tragedy ‘random accumulate’. That ‘meltdown’ general be mere accident which no ‘one’ saw, rather than as clear product of flawed, calculating and scheming ‘arsonist financial’ with ‘gain’ seen at the end as strategic realisation, and rather than the greed as calculating and scheming in the enjoinment as just another layer the peeling of onion; randomness reduced in the ‘aspiration’ to warfare Economic’ as collective act of monstrous company limited. The more ‘systematic’ and calculated scheme of expropriation the greater be the odious stench to humanity? But….. There is a part of the percentage such calculation can never incorporate, as is the gift of freedom as ‘life’, as opposed to the certainty as be ‘death’ such calculation based upon, and as material. Best laid plans. Nemesis beckoning concerning false belief - and better world to arise, despite the sufferance? ‘Fear’ being the key - 99 per cent self inflicted. It is in the remaining percentage, however divided, that the real hope lies within as transcendent, beyond scheme; as eternity to strategy as pretension. There be the rub for such dreams of the stateless parasites who would turn the world into some parallel of concentration camp - there be the stake driven into such heart as be found in such ‘body’ as absent of humanity. The plain fact is that simple joy of life shall ever be victorious over belief as illusion, and things be revealed as they are. Parallel to ‘Ford Pinto Memo’ shall be found. Truth will out. Give it enough time - and sufferance, alas. Stephen Martin can be reached at: stephenmarti@yahoo.com
