Some right wingers seem so bent on personal greed and gratification while the nation gets hosed that they appear to engage in what I would call ideological masturbation.
Fiscal cliff? Who cares? Lies to take us to war? Who cares? Depressed economy with millions suffering? Who cares? As long as they can pursue Randian ideological dogma that works only by calling selfishness a virtue.
Frankly, I am fed up with their lies, half truths and deceit, all designed to enrich themselves at the expense of everyone else.
They ignore the squalor they pass driving to their estates as quickly as possible so they can exercise their chosen brand of “family values.” And of course, it is those values which these self identified morality police want to impose on everyone who fails to share their doctrinaire religious beliefs.
And just like the old cliché, they have been blinded by their intolerant fixation on suppressing other’s rights while massaging their own without regard for those they hold in disdain. But then maybe their masturbation has blinded them to a point that they cannot discern the huge level of hypocrisy that resides in their midst.
Even several of their most intent religious and political leaders have literally been caught with the pants down in men’s rooms but they demand we continue to deny gays fundamental rights.
Their holier than thou attitude is tantamount to heresy.
Some claim dominion over the earth and its inhabitants but ignore their own lack of stewardship their deity clearly prescribes. It matters little what their claimed religion might be. Sadly, they are blinded by their ideological masturbation to the point that they are no longer capable to seeing what their collective actions have begot.
I grew up believing that I should not judge others, lest I be judged myself, and since we were all sinners it was important not to cast the first stone. Now, my values of compassion and justice are under attack by these self righteous, self centered, selfish charlatans.
I could not care less what they believe, but when they seek to impose their narrow creed on others, it is time to fight back.
America is not a selfish nation. Indeed, most of us are compassionate and caring. But henceforth these moral frauds need to be called out every time they pontificate their ridiculous uncharitable and mean personal values.
Until we put them in their rightful political purgatory, they will continue their assault on real American freedoms and values.
