Article removed.

In readying this piece for our website the editors removed a few phrases from Friedman and Tilley’s criticisms of Avnery, a respected, long-time contributor to CounterPunch. Though the elision of these few words in no way affected the substance of the piece the authors claim their meaning was changed and that the changes were unacceptable to them. So we have taken the piece down. AC/JSC.
